I made this because it has a strong meaning behind it that some people might understand. The meaning is pushing through the darkest times to get to the greatest times. As a kid I had this uncle that was like a dad to me because I never really had a dad so when he died it was hard on my family. The flower stands for him or for loved ones that had died and was hard for family members. Making this was sort of a struggle only because of the colors. I didn't want to add a 50/50 kind of color so it didn't seem so even but as I looked at this I felt I did good. It was hard to blend the colors because I've never really done it before but as I went on I taught myself how to.

City lights

I mad this because I love the city and there's many people out in the world who also love the city and the positive vibes there. I had small problems throughout the project like evening the colors so one color isn't too much and making something stand out. I used a palette knife for the texture effect to make it pop out. The hardest thing I think would have been the buildings to make them look not as flat and make it have a dimension to it. Overall I liked how this turned out and it looks better than I thought it would be.

two sides

I have never done watercolor in my entire life so this was difficult. The painting isn't as good because it's my first water color but it also has meaning behind it. There are two sides to every story and that's why I chose to put the title "Two Sides." This was very difficult because I had no idea what I was doing most of the time. I feel like this was a successful project because I can learn from this and grow beyond it. I didn't realize that it was going to be hard because it's nothing like acrylic. Many people think there is only one real side to a story but I don't believe it because someone always leaves out one important part that could ruin someone or make them a better person and that was my meaning behind it. When people look at this I want them to have their own meaning and what they want to think of this art work.

Dripping before winning is the title that some may not understand. I put a lot of effort into this project because it's my last one for this class and I want it to be big and special. I love paint dripping so I wanted to do something that had that incorporated in it. I did have a meaning behind this project because I feel like someone should find their own meaning behind it and not have to look at my meaning and then go off of that. I feel like the painting was strong on it own and didn't need a meaning behind it .
